And (unless you really and truly do not listen to a hip-hop station or frequent hip-hop night clubs) you know Nicki says this:

“You f*ckin' lil wh0res f*ckin' up my decors, couldn't get Michael Kors, if you was f*ckin' Michael Kors!!” 

There's power in the tongue and there is super power in the tongue of an influential person. Since that song's release it’s been an invasion of MICHAEL KORS bags/watches around my neck of the woods. It’s like with every play of that song people had to get their hands on a MK bag or timepiece. And one person sees another person with it and another person sees that person…well…you know the rest...


Items that have been out for years are now sought after as if Michael Kors is the new kid on the block. Due to my sister being a Michael Kors fool junkie for years I’ve given MK a few of my dollars several times...but in the last year I’m sure that cuddly looking guy below has made at least a mil off Nicki Minaj spitting that line. Or at least I think so… *Shrugs*


No, I don't have a problem with Michael Kors or the recent rise in the brand's popularity but it's definitely interesting to witness. Almost like witnessing a science experiment multiply right before your eyes...

As I was looking through some of the photos for the “GLAMP” look book someone asked where I’d purchased the leather-slouch-leg warmer looking pieces. I had to think back to 2010 and try to remember the shop’s name and then it hit me ARROGANT LOVES ORIGINAL(http://www.etsy.com/shop/vjones1)

For the past few days Jennifer Lopez has been the talk of the town after stepping out in full force FRESH mode adorned in a coat from Michael Kors Fall 2012 Runway. Can stylist Mariel Haenn do any wrong?
I wanted to add the same look to the GLAMP Lookbook I completed last month but of course a Michael Kors runway piece was not in my budget. Luckily I stumbled upon a $7.99 plaid motorcycle jacket, at Forever 21, and added a fur stole that I found at a thrift store a few years ago for no more than $6.00. Although my version isn't as eye friendly as the $3,000.00 Michael Kors number it did the job for less than $20.00. If you long for this look but it's not in your budget a D.I.Y. is worth a try! 


I mixed my version with a pinned snap back cap, denim shirt, lace skirt, and a lace up Timberland styled bootie from STEVE MADDEN 2003:
