 I see this a lot on Instagram "RE-POST or #REPOST"...and when I first joined I had to ask my niece what's the point of typing "RE-POST" when you're posting a photo that did not belong to the person who posted it in the first place. She then schooled me on Instagram etiquette...and I was still like "I guess...". But to adhere to Instagram etiquette I find myself tagging "#REPOST" now.
 I got waaaay off topic LOL...this is a re-post from 2011 when I pushed the SHORT SUIT or is it SHORT SET (I'm still asking)? I suggested a SHORT SUIT to a client and she wasn't too sure about the look. Below is one of the images I pulled up to give her a visual. I'm also re-posting for those who've asked what I was feeling for Spring/Summer 2013...pretty much the same look I was feeling for Spring/Summer 2011...THAT SHAWT SET!

This is a major opportunity and if I embodied the talents of a Fashion Designer I’d step out on faith with this one…go for it folks!

Remember me? On my birthday, mid-January, I had my hair cut very similar to this:


And I just realized I hadn't posted a selfie in quite sometime. This is the outfit I planned to wear to see Mary J Blige in concert a few weeks ago at the HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW AND RODEO. After I viewed myself on camera I decided to go with outfit #2...thing is the photos of outfit #2 were deleted. So here's my GOODBYE FALL look...I'll miss you so (talking to FALL).

FLASHBACK FASHION FRIDAY

Almost 10 years ago I spotted this photo of Teedra Moses and regretted leaving a vintage sequin butterfly top in a thrift store. Went back and the shirt was gone and I thrift hunted for that top several times after that to no avail. EBAY was stocked full of vintage sequin butterfly tops but all were way overpriced at that time. In 2007 I finally found the top, for a reasonable price, on Etsy in black/gold and I jumped on it. After all of that hunting I didn’t wear or use the top until 2009 during a shoot I styled entitled “BELOW THE MASON DIXON LINE”. In 2013 spotting that photo of Teedra Moses does the same exact thing…BUT it makes me want to find the top in pink this go round. *SMH*

I included 3 different shots of the photo of Teedra because, as you can see, each photo adds more depth…I guess you can tell I love the photo overall. And Teedra's style was and still is EVERYTHING!

THROWBACK THURSDAY: GOLD LIONS

 It wasn’t until I joined Instagram, this past August, that I noticed some of Melody Ehsani’s QUEEN OF THE JUNGLE line had been knocked off and sold for much cheaper. You seen it...that gold lion was either worn or sold by various Instagrammers! (Or is it Instagrammies?) Shortly after that I spotted gold lion accessories in a BEAUTY SUPPLY while buying hair goods. But luckily, for me, my obsession with gold lion accessories has been an ongoing thing for years now and I didn’t have to make that accessory purchase while buying my hair goods.
 For a look book update in 2011 I pulled the entire pride out. Below are images of a few pieces that made the final cut (Also threw in a photo of me, from 2009, in a gold lion DIY ear/neck piece). The gold lion trend is one trend that I hope sticks around for awhile…it’s a good thing to not have to hunt (pun intended) for lions.

Cruise Control

Last night while falling asleep to MUSIC CHOICE “All This Love” played by El De Barge…which means that particular song will be stuck in my head until noon. While going thru saved image files I spotted the loveliness below and began to sing OFF KEY again “And alllllll thissss looove is waaaaaiting for you…my baby…sweet darling…” Sergio Rossi’s cruise yall…SERGIO ROSSI’S CRUISE!!!
